Susan Luger, M.S., L.C.S.W.
Director
Susan Luger, M.S., L.C.S.W. holds a Masters Degree in
Education, a Professional Diploma in School
Administration and a Masters in Social Work. She is
New York State Licensed in the fields of Education
and Social Work.
Prior to becoming involved in Educational Advocacy,
Susan worked in the New York City Board of
Education as a teacher and a teacher-trainer. She has
also worked in private schools that served special
education students.
Since 1984, Susan has devoted herself solely to the
field of Special Education Advocacy, assisting
families of children with special needs. Her work with
these families includes advising them of their rights
under the Individuals With Disabilities Education Act,
assisting them in identifying appropriate educational
environments, guiding them through the Special
Education process, and representing them at Impartial
Hearings.
Susan has presented at numerous professional
meetings, including the Orton Dyslexia Society, the
Learning Disabilities Association, and Grand Rounds
at Mount Sinai Hospital (N.Y.), Schneider's Children's
Hospital (N.Y.) and N.Y.U. Child Study Center.
Additionally, Susan has offered expert opinion in legal
cases involving children.
